Forward-deployed engineer

An engineer who works inside a customer's own environment to build and ship the customer's first production use of a platform.

A forward-deployed engineer builds a real, running system inside the customer's own environment, using the customer's own tools and data, rather than advising from the outside or shipping a generic demo. The work is measured by what goes into production, not by a report or a set of recommendations handed over at the end.

A regulated organization is often unwilling, or unable, to hand its processes and data to an outside team without direct oversight. Having an engineer embedded, working alongside the customer's own developers inside the customer's own environment, changes both the risk profile of the engagement and how much the customer's team learns from watching the build happen.

An engineer pairs with a bank's own developers to connect an agent to the bank's existing case management system and get it running in production, rather than presenting a proof of concept that never leaves a demo environment.

In Dynamiq, forward-deployed engineers run a bootcamp inside the customer's own environment, define success criteria and evaluations before writing anything, ship the first production agent together with the customer's team, then hand over. What gets built along the way feeds back into the platform's templates and connectors for the next deployment.

Bring a process and its documents. Our engineers will show you how Dynamiq runs it, in your environment or ours.
